Are you aged 16–19 and interested in gaining direct experience in politics, law, media, or making change in your community?

This summer, we’re offering a free, week-long Politics Summer School for young people who live in the constituency and want to understand how decisions are really made locally and nationally.

Over the course of a week, participants will:

  • Learn how Parliament, councils, and political campaigns work
  • Get behind-the-scenes insight into an MP’s office
  • Meet people working in politics, media and public affairs
  • Take part in debates, group projects, and hands on work
  • Visit London and see Parliament in action (With thanks to Avanti West Coast for sponsoring)
  • Build confidence, skills, and networks for the future

This programme is open to young people from all backgrounds – no prior experience or political involvement required. There is no requirement to be a member of any particular political party.

Who can apply?

  • Aged 16–19
