As the Member of Parliament for Burnley, it’s important for Oliver Ryan MP to keep in touch with constituents about his work in Parliament and the constituency, to keep them informed of events in the local area, and to ask their views on local issues. If you’d like to subscribe to these updates, you will be asked for contact information (such as your name and e-mail address), geographic information (such as your postcode and constituency), and other details about you and your interests. This is used to help us provide you with information to match your interests, to alert you of campaigns you may be interested in and events happening in your area. Data collection and use:

You may be asked for personal information if you complete one of the forms on this site. By filling in your personal contact details and providing Oliver Ryan MP with information about your views, you consent to allowing Oliver Ryan MP and his staff to use the information you’ve given, as well as other information to which we have an entitlement, to contact you by email, text, phone, websites and apps even though you may be registered with the Telephone Preference Service. 

In each case the information you provide will only be used for the purpose for which you provide it. Any personal information you submit via this website is stored on secure servers (including mobile servers), password protected computers, password protected folders and encrypted zip files. 

Occasionally, Oliver Ryan MP may need to transfer personal information you submit to a data processor or to countries or jurisdictions outside the EEA. All our suppliers comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and provide adequate protection for the rights of data individuals in connection to the transfer of their personal data within the European Union, or are subject to Privacy Shield scheme in the United States.

Casework: 

When I take up casework on your behalf, it may be necessary for me or my office to share personal details that you provide such as your telephone number and email address, with government departments, local authorities, public bodies and other organisations. I will only share as much information as is necessary to progress your case. 

Choice/unsubscribe: 

We provide you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us easily and promptly. The majority of unsubscribe requests are processed immediately; in some cases it will take up to one week. 

IP addresses and log file data:

This site does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user’s IP Address or the location of your computer or network on the Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. (If you are connected to the Internet you have an IP address, for example an IP address might read “154.198.99.9″). We also use IP addresses in the aggregate to track which pages people visit in order to improve the quality of the site. 

To volunteer (pledge your support):

We ask for your contact details, postcode and information on the type of volunteer work you are interested in. This information helps us identify suitable volunteer opportunities for you. Your details will be forwarded to the appropriate local officer who can then contact you.
